The British Embassy in Ashgabat employs 30 Turkmen nationals in a number of positions ranging from Security to Project Management and from Visa Assistant to Press and Public Affairs Assistants. The Embassy is an equal opportunities employer meaning that the success of a person in applying for a job is determined only by how an interview panel think that person will perform if they are chosen to fill the vacancy.  All jobs are graded depending upon the requirements of the job and so the salary is determined by the grade of the person filling the job. The Embassy does not employ many people and because our turnover is very low, advancement is generally not available unless there has been a complete review of the job.
